Membership information

Any musician with a band instrument (woodwind, brass, or percussion) is invited to rehearse with the Band.  There are no auditions required. Participation in performances is at the discretion of the conductor. Regular rehearsal attendance is encouraged - the last two rehearsals before a concert are especially important.  For more information contact us at nvcb@nashobavalleyconcertband.org.

We rehearse Wednesdays from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm at the Ayer Shirley Regional Middle School (1 Hospital Rd Shirley).  Please let us know before you come, so we can expect you and let you know if there are any changes to our schedule that week.  Send email to

  funding

The Nashoba Valley Concert Band does not charge any dues for membership.  Funding is provided by fees we charge for performing, Cultural Council Grants, and by donations from organizations and towns.   Donations are always welcome.

Here are a few pieces that we have performed recently, so you can get an idea of the type of music we play:

We generally play music that's Graded 2 - 4.5 in terms of difficulty level. That's roughly the equivalent of a junior high school to college band level.

 logistics

Sheet music is provided.  Music stands and chairs are provided at rehearsals.  You must provide your own music stands and chairs for concerts.
